Next Sunday, the (5-5) Kansas City Chiefs will play the (8-2) Indianapolis Colts in a Week 12 matchup on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. on CBS — locally on KCTV/5.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Kansas City has opened the week as a 3.5 point favorite in the game.
In Week 11, Kansas City opened as a 3.5 point favorite against the Denver Broncos, but lost that game 22-19. Meanwhile, the Colts are coming off their bye week. In Week 10, they registered a 31-25 overtime
victory over the Atlanta Falcons after opening the week as a 6.5-point favorite.
It appears that the oddsmakers have more faith in Kansas City than many others. The Chiefs’ loss in Denver was the second straight game in which the team collected a narrow loss after opening the week as the favorite. Against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10, Kansas City opened as a 1.5-point favorite, but fell to the Bills 28-21.
Indianapolis is the hottest team in football, featuring the league’s best running back: Jonathan Taylor. Presumably, the Chiefs are favored because they have a 4-1 record at home — and in this situation, it might be that FanDuel doesn’t trust a Colts offense led by quarterback Daniel Jones.
