The Tom Aspinall-Ciryl Gane eye poke drama continues.
This past weekend, Aspinall and Gane faced off in the main event of UFC 321 for the heavyweight title, and while Aspinall left the champion, it wasn’t
because he won the fight. Near the end of the first round, Gane poked Aspinall in the eyes, rendering the heavyweight champion unable to continue, resulting in a no-contest. Since then, this week has been dominated by fighters and fans debating the severity of Aspinall’s injury and whether he “quit” or not. Well, let’s add some fuel to the fire.
On Friday, Aspinall celebrated the Halloween festivities by posting a few images to his social media mocking the situation, one revealing he’s still in an eye patch, and the other likening Gane to horror movie icon Freddy Krueger. Aspinall also revealed he’s seeing yet another doctor over the issue.

There’s still not word on exactly how bad things are for Aspinall at the moment, but it certainly doesn’t look like a picnic, and earlier this week, Aspinall’s father said his son was still having trouble with his vision.
