The Arizona Cardinals are needing to hire a defensive coordinator for Mike LaFleur’s staff, while also already losing the chance at one since Dino Vasso has already withdrawn from consideration.
So, when
it came out that Vasso withdrew, it made the news today that one of the leading candidates is not only interviewing for the Cardinals position, but also interviewing with one of the best defenses in the NFL in the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns finished 14th in scoring defense and fourth in yards allowed.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals finished 29th in scoring defense and 27th in yards allowed.
If Pleasant has his pick of jobs, well of the two jobs, you have to be hopeful that the youth, the high draft picks and the likely relationship with Mike LaFleur would figure into the decision.
What are your thoughts on the Cardinals pursuit of Pleasant? Is he a priority or would a Wink Martindale or Charlie Bullen be okay with you?
