The Kentucky Wildcats were simply outplayed for the majority of Tuesday night’s matchup against Texas A&M. It was a tough road loss for the Cats, as most of the team didn’t have their best game.
However, Mo Dioubate really gave it his best effort, having one of his best outings of the season for one of the game’s lone bright spots for Kentucky.
Dioubate has been observing Ramadan since February 17th and will continue until March 19th. He is going so far as to not rinse his mouth out during the Wildcats
games. The 6-foot-7 big man is playing some of his best basketball of the season while observing Ramadan.
In the loss to the Aggies, Doiubate played 22 minutes, scoring 19 points (8/9 FG), grabbing seven rebounds, and dishing one assist. He also had a team-high +3 in plus-minus. A stellar outing for the Queens, New York native.
Last week, during the Wildcats’ win over the Gamecocks, Dioubate gave big props to his nutritionist and Wildcats Strength Coach, Brandon Wells, for their guidance and support during this time.
Dioubate and the Wildcats will look to bounce back on Saturday afternoon as the Florida Gators come to town, as the regular season comes to a close. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
