The Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints are set to square off in Week 1 of the 2026 preseason.
Starters will not be suiting up, which is a shame, because it would’ve been cool to see Travis Etienne face his old squad.
“It was great to see him after practice,” head coach Liam Coen said of his former lead running back after Thursday’s joint practice. “We’ll never be able to replace what he was able to do for us, whether it was last year or what he’s done in Jacksonville throughout the course
of his career. … He should be extremely proud of himself.”
“It was real great being able to go out there and play against my former team,” said Etienne. “You build so many relationships, so many friendships, that I’m going to have for a lifetime. So I don’t take those lightly.”
“Wish it was a real game, then we’d really have it set in stone. But it was good to go out there and compete.”
