This is the UFC 332 live blog for Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Payton Talbott, bantamweight co-main event Saturday at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
Figueiredo (25-7-1), a two-time UFC flyweight champion, is currently No. 11 at 135 pounds in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, while Talbott (11-1) looks to have a number next to his name on our charts for the first time.
This is a pivotal bout for the 38-year-old Figueiredo, who has lost two straight and four of his past five. After winning his first three
fights as a UFC bantamweight, Figueiredo lost to top contenders Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen before winning an uneventful decision against Montel Jackson. He went on to lose two more fights, including a decision loss to Umar Nurmagomedov in which Figueiredo missed weight, and a recent submission loss to Song Yadong.
Talbott is a highly touted prospect who has won five of his first six UFC fights. Following a humbling loss to Raoni Barcelos, Talbott rebounded with impressive decision wins over Felipe Lima and former two-division champion Henry Cejudo.
