A week from today the Mariners will be playing a game that counts, and the Cactus League will fade away into obscurity for another year. For now, though, we have a matchup against the A’s.
Rhylan Thomas was initially scheduled in center field, but a late scratch has forced Luke Raley to cover and Rob Refsnyder to man right. In more positive news, this means that Cal Raleigh has returned to the lineup after Team USA’s defeat against Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic final, albeit at DH rather
than behind the plate. Old School RuneScape aficionado and likely #8 starter Randy Dobnak will take the hill for the M’s.
The A’s are rolling with what will very likely be close to their Opening Day lineup, save for Brent Rooker in the field and Lawrence Butler at DH instead of vice versa. New acquisition Aaron Civale will get the start.
