It’s time to start preparing for the 2026 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 3 of the Fran Brown Era.
Up next is…
Name: Elijah Crawford
Position: Defensive Line
Year: Redshirt Freshman
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 285 lbs.

2026 projections: Crawford appeared in one game for the Orange last
year, making his collegiate debut on September 12 against Colgate. He enters the 2026 season as a developmental defensive lineman looking to carve out a role in the rotation. How’d he get here?: Crawford had 15 offers out of high school but ultimately chose Syracuse over West Virginia and Rutgers.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three-star on 247Sports, On3, ESPN and Rivals

Interesting nugget o’interest: In addition to football, Crawford wrestled and competed in shot put in high school.
