Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is off to a marvelous start, but this past week rumors emerged of Kane needing to tell Bayern whether or not he wants to leave the club for the 2026/27 season.
Of course,
that sparked a variety of rumors involving the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Real Madrid, and FC Barcelona.
For Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl, Kane is professional enough to tune out the noise. When asked about Kane’s contract situation, Eberl said as much.
“The way Harry is conducting himself shows that he’s fully committed. He’s old enough to make his own decisions, regardless of whether he has a release clause or not. Our wish is to be successful with Harry this season and also in the future,” said Eberl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Eberl would never give a real answer about Kane at this point, so avoiding the question was expected. However, if Kane does opt to leave, Eberl is going to have a lot of homework to do to find an acceptable replacement, which will not be an easy task.
