I’ve been fortunate to have done many things over the last couple of decades that I never could have imagined doing when I first launched this website.
Competing in, and winning, a “celebrity” dance competition might now be at the top of that list.
I can’t properly thank everyone involved with Let’s Dance Louisville for the experiences of the last four months. I had no idea what to expect when I was roped into doing this, but now I can say, without hesitation, that it was one of the most rewarding
things I’ve ever done.
More important than the dance journey or the giant ass trophy that’s now with us on vacation in Hilton Head is the fact that so many people came together to help me raise (when all was said and done) over $30,000 to provide free meals to hungry people in Louisville.
I’ve always known that I have the best family, friends, listeners, readers, etc., but to see everyone in my life step up to help was so incredibly validating. From people that I’ve known my whole life to many people who I’ve never met face-to-face; Everyone was so remarkably generous and supportive.
Now, please enjoy this dance:
And the event highlight reel, which was properly focused on the right Rutherford.
Life is about the stories we create and the people we connect with, and this was such an awesome and unique (and unexpected) chapter. Thanks again to everyone who helped make it happen.
