No. 2 Indiana football is set to take on Penn State on the road at Beaver Stadium in State College, Pennsylvania, this weekend.
The Hoosiers are coming off a 55-10 road win over Maryland this past weekend.
Indiana is dealing with a handful of injuries, with various players’ statuses becoming clearer the closer we get to kickoff.
Penn State sits at 3-5 overall and 0-5 in Big Ten play. The Nittany Lions parted ways with longtime head coach James Franklin following a loss to Northwestern at home. Coming into the season with national title aspirations, it’s been quite the opposite in Happy Valley.
When is the game and how can I watch?
Date/Time: 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, November 8th
Place: Beaver Stadium in State College, Pennsylvania.
TV Channel: BTN
Radio: WHCC 105.1 FM / WIUX 99.1 FM
Fast Facts
- Indiana is winless all-time at Beaver Stadium
- Hoosier quarterback Fernando Mendoza’s 25 touchdown passes lead the Big Ten.
Predictions
Penn State obviously hasn’t lived up to expectations, but it’s still a very talented team that poses a real threat to Indiana’s aspirations this season. Ethan Grunkemeyer, the Nittany Lions new starter at quarterback with Drew Allar sidelined, may look to push the ball down the field more than he has in previous matchups. Penn State is still searching for a conference win and may be more motivated to pick one up against a surging Indiana program.
This could be a weird one, but I see Indiana pulling it off on the road.
