Good morning, baseball fans!
As we are getting closer to the holidays, I thought we could take some time to revisit some of the San Francisco Giants’ best games. Or at least a few of my personal favorites.
To start things off, we have one of the most iconic games of all time. And that would be Matt Cain’s perfect game from June 13th, 2012. This is one of my favorites for obvious and not-so-obvious reasons. The obvious reasons being that it was a perfect game pitched by a beloved Giants pitcher.
The
not as obvious reasons would be that it was on my brother’s birthday, and he did everyone a solid and stopped watching it so that he wouldn’t jinx it. You’re all welcome on his behalf. I also love the memory because I was living with a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers at the time and he and I watched the last few innings together and it was a lot of fun. Unlike my Dodger fan family members, he and I were not mean to each other about our team preferences, for the most part. So it was cool to celebrate such a huge moment in Giants history with a fellow baseball fan, even if he was a Dodgers fan.
If you haven’t gotten your presents wrapped yet, now would be an excellent time to settle in, watch the game and get that taken care of! Enjoy!
