Portland Trail Blazers rookie center Yang Hansen clocked in a fine night of work for the Rip City Remix in the G League on Wednesday night. The big man produced a team-high 22 points, seven rebounds, three
assists, two blocks and a steal in 31 minutes to help the Remix capture a 123-99 win over the Oklahoma City Blue at the Chiles Center.
Yang got those numbers while shooting 6-12 from the floor, 0-2 from beyond the 3-point arc, and 5-6 from the free throw line. He also committed three turnovers and one foul.
Blazers two-way contract forward Javonte Cooke produced 19 points (on 6-15 shooting), eight rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes. Remix guard Dillon Jones put up 18 points (on 6-14 shooting), 14 rebounds, seven assists and three steals in 36 minutes.
After trailing for much of the first half, the Remix to the lead just before halftime and built up a double-digit lead in the third quarter. Then they outscored the Blue 32-18 in the fourth quarter to turn the game into a route.
The Blazers recalled Yang this morning, meaning the rookie will be available when the Blazers play the Atlanta Hawks at the Moda Center tonight at 7 p.m. Pacific.
