Good morning, Broncos Country. I hope you are all enjoying your start to July and have an amazing Fourth of July weekend holiday. Be safe, have some fun, get outdoors, and enjoy time with friends and family.
According to CBS Sports NFL writer Kevin Dubin, he believes that the Broncos’ duo of Jaylen Waddle and Courtland Sutton has the potential to be one of the best in the NFL for the 2026 season. Denver’s new tandem came in at sixth in his overall rankings. Dubin highlights Waddle’s deep ball and yard
after the catch ability, as well as Sutton’s prowess at the “X” spot as two main reasons for their high ranking.
The top five were the Vikings with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, followed by the Lions sporting Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams. Third place went to the Rams boasting Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, while the Cowboys tandem of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens came in second. The Bengals earned the top spot having Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, both of whom put up incredible numbers last season.
With Waddle and Sutton in the mix in the Mile High City, third-year quarterback Bo Nix will be poised for his best season the National Football League. Denver’s group of receivers last year came down with a lot of big plays, but this year we should see a huge increase in productivity and efficiency from the group.
It’s been a very long time since the Broncos have had a top receiving duo that each hit the 1,000-yard mark. You would have to go back to the 2016 season with Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders to find that in the team’s record books. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘26 gridiron campaign winds up bucking that trend with Waddle and Sutton leading the way in Denver’s offense.
