Brusdar Graterol has been a high-leverage reliever for the bulk of his time with the Dodgers, but he did not pitch at all this year after shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum last November.
Among the
324 pitchers with at least 150 innings from 2020-23, Graterol ranked 18th in ERA (2.69) and 25th in xERA (3.03), and in 25 postseason games with the Dodgers has a 1.85 ERA and 2.86 FIP in 24 1/3 innings. But he only pitched in 10 games in 2024 while dealing with shoulder and hamstring injuries, then was sidelined for all of 2025 after shoulder surgery.
Aside from the occasional appearance at Dodger Stadium this season, or at Chase Field when the Dodgers were playing the Diamondbacks in Phoenix, most of our viewings of Graterol in 2025 were whenever he’d post an Instagram story of him throwing or working out in Arizona.
So in lieu of actual baseball content from the right-hander, please enjoy this time lapse video of Graterol and his wife Allison finishing the landscaping for their daughter Aria’s playground in the backyard of their home in Phoenix in May.
2025 particulars
Age: 26
Stats: did not pitch
Salary: $2.8 million
Roster status
Graterol has five years, 167 days of service time and is eligible for salary arbitration one last time. He made $2.7 million in 2024 and pitched in only 10 games in the regular season and postseason combined, then reached a deal to avoid an arbitration hearing for 2025 worth $2.8 million, a tiny raise over the previous year.
Last year both Dustin May and Tony Gonsolin signed deals to avoid arbitration for the exact same salary as in 2024 after missing the entire season after surgeries. That’s where Graterol is now after not pitching at all in 2025. Accordingly, both MLB Trade Rumors and Cot’s Baseball Contracts project Graterol to match his 2025 salary with another $2.8 million deal for 2026.
