(75-56) Durham Bulls @ (58-75) Gwinnett Stripers – 5:05 PM ET
Pitching Probables
DUR: Yoniel Curet (0-2, 3.74 ERA)
GWI: José Suarez (2-1, 3.34 ERA)
The Gwinnett Stripers turn to José Suarez in game one of today’s doubleheader. José is coming off of the heels of one of his best starts, not just since he joined the organization, but in his career when he shutdown the Norfolk Tide offense over six innings of three hit baseball (6IP 3H 0R 0BB 6K). He will be facing off against the somewhat recently promoted Yoniel Curet who has made five starts in Triple-A, with his most
recent start on August 29th against the Worcester Red Sox (4IP 1H 1ER 4BB 6K). He last faced an Atlanta team back on July 31st when he was a member of the Montgomery Biscuits where he shut down the Clingstones (5IP 1H 0R 2BB 7K).
(75-56) Durham Bulls @ (58-75) Gwinnett Stripers – Game 2
Pitching Probables
DUR: TBD
GWI: Nathan Wiles (5-8, 3.24 ERA)
Nathan Wiles will be getting the start in game two of the doubleheader. His last start came on August 26th against the Norfolk Tide (2IP 1H 0R 1BB 0K).
(72-56) Montgomery Biscuits @ (56-69) Columbus Clingstones – 7:05 PM ET
Pitching Probables
MNT: T.J. Nichols (3-0, 1.44 ERA)
COL: Ian Mejia (12-2, 2.41 ERA)
Ian Mejia looks to continue his special 2025 campaign as the Clingstones host the Biscuits. It seems like a broken record, but Ian is coming off of yet another strong performance on the 28th of August (7IP 5H 2ER 2BB 9K) where he struck out a season high nine batters. On the season, Ian is a sterling 12-2 with a ridiculous 2.41 ERA. He’s pitched five games in which he’s given up more than three runs (23 games, 16 starts) and 15 games where he’s given up on earned run or less. To say it another way, we are in for a pitching showcase as the Biscuits counter with T.J. Nichols who has been extremely strong for them as well.
(55-69) Rome Emperors @ (64-63) Hub City Spartanburgers
Pitching Probables
ROM: Herick Hernandez (3-6, 3.70 ERA)
HBC: Caden Scarborough (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
Herick Hernandez looks to continue the dominant run he’s on as the pitcher appeared in five games in the month of August and gave up two earned runs, both coming in his last start. He’s begun to really limit the hits, which again can be highlighted by his month of August when he pitched 23 innings, gave up two earned runs (0.78 ERA), eight total hits, struck out 33 (12.9 K/9) but walked 21 (8.2 BB/9). He will be facing Caden Scarborough who has made two appearances with Hub City, but on the season has been quite strong (2-5, 2.57 ERA).
(62-66) Kannapolis Cannon Ballers @ (65-60) Augusta GreenJackets – 7:05 PM ET
Pitching Probables
KAN: TBD
AUG: Cam Caminiti (1-3, 2.32 ERA)
Cam Caminiti gets the start for the Augusta GreenJackets, looking for just his second win of the season despite some great pitching. He’s coming off of one of the best starts of his super young career last week against the Charleston RiverDogs where he actually picked up the loss (6IP 4H 1ER 2BB 9K), despite picking up a career high nine strikeouts. Cam is in great form, and has shown why the Braves made the swift move to draft him in the first round last year.
