Arbeloa will leave Real Madrid
During today’s press conference, Arbeloa announced he’ll leave the club after the end of this season.
I leave Real Madrid with immense gratitude. The players have made me a better person, they have made me enjoy every day. I am very grateful to the club for the opportunity, I leave grateful after these eight years, leaving behind many friends. I hope one day I can return.
He’d also dismissed the possibility of joining Mourinho coaching staff:
I’m not here to talk about possibilities. Mou has a fantastic coaching staff; he’s surrounded by great people. If he comes, he’ll bring his own team, as he should. There’s no chance I’ll be joining him. I’ve spent the last four months thinking about Madrid; from now on, it’s time to think about myself. I’ve taken the leap, and I feel ready for new challenges.
