Kane could be closing in on contract extension (GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs and Sam Cohen)
Bayern Munich star striker Harry Kane could be on the verge of a contract extension after there was some speculation that the Englishman might be enticed by FC Barcelona’s project or a mega-deal from Al-Hilal:
Harry Kane is set to sign a new contract at Bayern Munich, GIVEMESPORT understands. Talks will resume this summer after productive discussions earlier in the year.
Bayern are relaxed about Kane’s future despite links with other clubs. Kane had a €65million release clause, active in January, but
specifically for this summer. It needed to be triggered last winter if Kane wanted to leave during this window.
Barcelona had an enquiry following the departure of Robert Lewandowski and are under the impression Kane will remain in Germany. He is settled both on and off the field.
GMS can also reveal Al-Hilal have made an approach this summer to understand Kane’s situation.
There was also some speculation that Kane might be contemplating a return to England, but GiveMeSport says that any contract extension with the Bavarians could close the door on him going back to the Premier League:
There was talk earlier in the window, with question marks over whether or not Kane would sign a new contract in Germany, that he could make a move back to the Premier League with either former club Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United. But a contract renewal will now end any talk of an England return.
If true, this will be a move celebrated by Bayern Munich fans. After such an amazing 2025/26 campaign, Bayern Munich could be looking at retaining Kane, Michael Olise (contract through 2029), and Luis Díaz (contract through 2029) for what could be a spectacular two-season window.
Can Bayern Munich capitalize on this period and win a treble?
Real getting serious with Rodri? (Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger)
Is Manchester City about to lose Rodri? It seems unlikely, but there are some reports indicating that the Spaniard might be looking to move back to Spain:
🚨⚪️ Rodri (30/🇪🇸) to Real Madrid this summer is heating up! 🔥
A secret meeting between Real Madrid and Rodri’s agents took place yesterday afternoon at a restaurant in Pozuelo, Madrid. Real Madrid’s board has now decided to go for Rodri as one of their top targets.
Real are prepared to offer a contract until 2030. They are working on an agreement on personal terms. Rodri keen on the move back to Spain, while his Manchester City contract runs until 2027. City’s contract offer has been on the table for weeks…
No direct talks have taken place between Real Madrid and Manchester City yet.
@SkySportDE
According to transfer journalist Nicolò Schira, Real Madrid has an agreement with the Golden Ball winner:
🚨 Excl. – Agreement in principle for a contract until 2030 between #Rodri and #RealMadrid, which are ready to open talks to try to sign him from #ManchesterCity. #MCFC would like to keep him and offered the contract extension, but the midfielder has not accepted. #transfers
Chelsea eyeing Lacroix (GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs)
Chelsea FC could be lining up a move for former Wolfsburg center-back Maxence Lacroix:
Chelsea have now held formal talks with Crystal Palace over a move for Maxence Lacroix. #AFC also appreciate Lacroix.
Gunners lobbed inquiry for Diomandé (GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs)
Arsenal is reportedly pretty keen on RB Leipzig attacker Yan Diomandé, who has been very closely linked to Paris Saint-Germain:
Arsenal made an enquiry for Yan Diomande, as reported yesterday on @talkSPORT. Purely exploratory at this stage.
PSG continue to work on a deal, while Leipzig hope Diomande signs a new contract and/or stays for at least an extra season.
Diomande has made it clear he favours PSG (terms on a five-year contract are in place) as well as a right-sided role. Player equally capable of both sides, but favours more minutes on the right.🇨🇮
Bouaddi to City? (Transfer journalist Nicolò Schira)
One of the breakout stars of the World Cup was Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who also stars for Lille. Now, though, Manchester City could be poised to swoop in and grab the prized youngster:
ManchesterCity are ready to offer €90M to #Lille to try to sign #Lille’s midfielder Ayyoub #Bouaddi. #MCFC have already agreed personal terms for a contract until 2031 with the morrocan player as revealed in the last days. #transfers #LOSC
Bouaddi’s stock is up about as high as it can go right now, so a sale for Lille could be advantageous, especially if it feels it will lose him within the next couple of years. As for City, it has proven it will spend big on young players where warranted. As it stands, Bouaddi seems like he is worth it.
Chelsea scoping Hall (ESPN)
Chelsea FC could be taking a very close look at Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall:
Chelsea are interested in Newcastle left back Lewis Hall. TEAMtalk reports that the Blues are monitoring the 21-year-old’s situation, but it is reported that he is currently prioritizing a switch to Manchester United should he leave St. James’ Park. Real Madrid’s Álvaro Carreras, 23, is also among the names being considered by the Stamford Bridge hierarchy as they look to find a long-term replacement for Spain international Marc Cucurella, who made the switch to the Bernabeu for €55 million last month.
Adeyemi goes official with Barca (FC Barcelona)
This seems…a bit over the top for Karim Adeyemi?
Social media welcomes are taking on a new life these days, but this is still Adeyemi, right? The same guy underachieved on Borussia Dortmund and could not make the Germany national team?
Barca fans had better hope that Hansi Flick can unlock the winger. It could happen, no doubt, but until he actually does something consistently, the hero’s welcome is a bit much:
