The main event of tonight’s (Sat., Oct. 31, 2026) Halloween Havoc television special from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Grayson Waller putting the NXT championship on the line against Tony D’Angelo. Waller won the title from D’Angelo in a Fatal 4-Way at Heatwave, as he stole Cruz Montana’s pinfall to become the new king of a division struggling with its own identity.
He came in hot with a shoot style promo claiming to reset the standard. That he won the title so quickly backed
up his words. This was the first opportunity Tony D had to make things right again.
He could not.
He was given a visual pin to the tune of like a nine count by the live crowd but the referee was knocked out, of course, and unable to count it down. Naturally, Waller took advantage by rolling out of the ring, grabbing a weapon, and rocking The Don on his skull with it.
He came back in the ring with the Rolling Stunner and that got him the pinfall to retain the title.
Questions on what is next for Tony D will undoubtedly come from this but we know what’s next for Waller: a championship match against CM Punk on NXT TV next week, right up against AEW’s big Blood & Guts show.
How about that?
