Kentucky Football has lost one of its commitments in the 2026 class.
Three-star offensive lineman Tyreek Jemison from Georgia announced Wednesday evening he’s backing off his commitment to the Wildcats.
Jemison has been committed to Kentucky since June, when he chose the Wildcats over several schools such as Georgia Tech, North Carolina, NC State, Ole Miss, Missouri, and others.
Reports are that Georgia Tech is making a big push for the home-state prospect, which could be a major factor behind the decommitment.
It’s a tough break for Kentucky, who only had 15 commitments in the 2026 recruiting class before Jemison’s announcement and only one other offensive line commitment.
Building depth on the offensive line must be a focus for this coaching staff moving forward, so the slow start in recruiting offensive linemen is a bit of a concern, especially with National Signing Day getting closer and closer.
Of course, Kentucky could —and likely will — opt to seek out talent in the transfer portal, but nonetheless, this decommitment is a tough one for the Wildcats.
