Two Dodgers games in August were added to the TBS Tuesday night baseball schedule, the network announced this week.
The August 4 game against the Chicago Cubs, the middle game of a three-game set at Wrigley Field is a TBS game, as is the Dodgers’ opener against the Atlanta Braves in Atlanta on August 25.
TBS telecasts are not exclusive, meaning there are local broadcasts of those games in addition to the TBS feed. Mostly, the TBS telecasts are blacked out inside the local television markets of each
team, with the exception of usually one game per team that will also be able to watch locally on the network.
To date, none of the Dodgers’ four games on TBS — April 7 at the Toronto Blue Jays, May 5 at the Houston Astros, June 23 at the Minnesota Twins, and this Tuesday at the Philadelphia Phillies — have been available in the local market.
The Dodgers are two-thirds of the way through a three-city road trip, with four of the nine games on national television, including this Saturday against the New York Mets at Citi Field on Fox. There would have been five games on this trip on national TV, but last Saturday’s Fox broadcast got rained out, and postponed into a Sunday morning game on True Blue LA.
