Taylor Doll’s latest Making Monsters is all about some offensive linemen the Chicago Bears could target in the 2026 NFL Draft.
First, she interviews Bill Riley, the Voice of Utah Athletics, to talk about both tackles Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu. She’s then joined by Tim Fitzgerald, who covers Kansas State for 247 Sports’ Gopowercat.com, to learn all about center Sam Hecht. And finally, Taylor talks with Devils Illustrated’s Conor O’Neil to discuss Duke’s tackle Brian Parker II.
Kansas State’s Sam Hecht
has been getting plenty of buzz among Bears fans in the mock draft simulations, and he looks to be a lock to come off the board on Day 2. Fitzgerald said that Hecht began with the Wildcats as a walk-on, and “He just kept getting better and better until he was pretty darn dominant last year, and then he went to the combine and really showed out well.”
While Hecht started all their games last season at center, the guards and tackles were shuffled all around, and the team leaned on his leadership.
“He did a tremendous job in the middle of that offensive line, trying to keep the changing people around him all organized and as cohesive as possible.”
The Bears have three picks on day two, and a long-term center could find its way into one of the selections.
Give Taylor’s show a listen in either of the embeds below, and let us know your thoughts on these offensive linemen.
