The Wisconsin Badgers will play the Maryland Terrapins at 11:00 a.m. CT on September 20th on NBC, they announced on Monday.
Wisconsin is coming off a 42-10 beating of the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, where they struggled in the first half, but dominated the second half en route to a blowout victory.
Next up for them is their first major test of the season: a road contest with the Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend. That kickoff is also
set for 11:00 a.m. and will be televised on ABC.
Wisconsin faced the Crimson Tide a season ago, losing 42-10 in a disastrous afternoon at Camp Randall Stadium, and will now hope to turn the tide with two very different teams facing off on Saturday.
The Badgers return home in two weeks to face Maryland, and that kickoff will be another 11:00 a.m. kickoff. But, the Badgers are getting picked up by NBC, making it to a major network.
Maryland has started the season 2-0, beating FAU 39-7 in the season opener before getting past Northern Illinois 20-9 this past weekend. They have a third-straight home game, facing Towson this weekend before traveling to Madison for Week 4.
That could be a realistic opportunity for starting quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. to make his return, which would give him a chance to face his former team.
Wisconsin has its first bye week after that, getting a break in Week 5 before a brutal stretch in October where they take on Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State, and Oregon in four consecutive weeks.
But, before that, it’ll be an 11:00 a.m. kick in Week 4 against Maryland, with the game being played on NBC.
