He still has his AAA Mega title, but Dominik Mysterio strongly believes he should still be a champ-champ. To his way of thinking, Dirty Dom never would have lost the WWE Intercontinental belt if it weren’t for those meddling kids that dang Finn Bálor. We suppose that’s why he’s willing to go to almost any lengths to get it back. Well, that and confidence he’ll win.
With Brad Gilmore on Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling YouTube channel, Dom first talked about taking over The Judgment Day (a faction he says
he didn’t want to join when it was initially pitched to him because “it felt weird and hokey at the very beginning of it”), saying he just “played the Finn Bálor playbook” on Bálor. Then Mysterio laid out his plan for the next four-six weeks:
“So, first things first, I gotta retain my AAA mega champion this Saturday at Rey de Reyes — which obviously I will. Not a problem. Not a problem… Going into [WrestleMania], I want my IC championship back.
“I don’t care what I have to do. I know Penta is an ugly, ugly dude, so I’m willing to put my hair up on the line against his mask and the IC championship. Hell, I’ll even put up my mustache — whatever it takes to get my IC title back.
“Cause at the end of the day, I beat this dude probably seven or eight times already. He got lucky on this last one because of Finn Bálor’s dumb ass. But, anyways… I would like to walk in as a double champ or walk out as a double champ of WrestleMania.”
We’d like to see that Dirty Dom/Penta lucha de apuestas, at WrestleMania 42 next month in Las Vegas… or earlier. But it seems ‘Mania worthy, right?
