The NFL season is drawing to a close, and now that we’re into the Wildcard Round of the NFL Playoffs, regular season accolades are rolling out and some familiar faces are being honored.
Ja’Marr Chase and
Derek Stingley earned First-Team All-Pro honors, while Danielle Hunter landed on the Second-Team.
Chase and Stingley have both earned First-Team All-Pro honors in consecutive seasons. Chase is the fifth Cincinatti Bengal to ever achieve the feat, while Stingley is Houston’s fourth ever player.
Despite Joe Burrow missing 11 games because of a turf toe injury, Chase still managed to catch 125 passes for 1,412 yards and scored eight touchdowns. Chase has been in the NFL for five years, and he’s earned Pro Bowl honors in all five seasons. For his career, Chase has 520 catches for 6,837 yards and is well on his way to Canton.
Stingley is staking his claim as the best cornerback in football. Stingley was credited with 36 tackles this season, 15 passes defensed, and intercepted four passes. He is the only corner in the NFL to grab at least four interceptions in each of the past three seasons.
Hunter has now earned a Second-Team All-Pro nod for the second time in his career, the first coming in 2018 with Minnesota. Hunter had 15 TFLs and 15 sacks, which is his fifth-straight double-digit sack season. Hunter is now up 114.5 sacks for his career and is inside the top-40 in NFL history.
Hunter and Stingley were two key cogs in Houston’s outstanding defense this season. The Texans allowed an NFL-best 277 yards and were second in points with 17 per game.
