One of the few joys in life on a Monday morning is knowing that there is Notre Dame Football news and a Triple Option to run.
NEVER FEAR… HEATHER DINICH IS HERE
It’s the spring football season for the entire country, even if the start and stop dates are different for many schools. It’s a time of hope and projection as Notre Dame, and everyone else around the country, sheds their skin to begin anew. This makes for a lot of interesting storylines, and as far as Notre Dame is concerned, the Irish are kind of sitting pretty.
While there’s
the usual noise about conferences and schedule strength, a lot of CFB reporters and personalities are all in on the Irish in 2026. ESPN’s Heather Dinich is no exception, and she makes a strong claim for Notre Dame to be in contention for the national championship while standing in an Indiana Hoosier team meeting room.
MORE JEREMIYAH LOVE DRAFT TALK
We are less than two weeks away from the NFL Draft, and Jeremiyah Love continues to be one of the most talked about players in the class. One of those “talking” is former Notre Dame and Pittsburgh Steelers great, Jerome Bettis. The bruising running back lent his voice for a nice spotlight video for the NFL.
And speaking of Jeremiyah Love… his final destination is still very much in the air. Lately there has been a big focus on the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders — but a new mock draft was just released that has Love going to the Arizona Cardinals at #3.
WHO’S OVERRATED?
An annual tradition is when CFB fans crap all over Notre Dame when the preseason rankings are released. Mind you — their chants of overrated are mostly BS, but the Irish are an easy target since they are either loved or hated by the entire country. And yet… these stats from 2010 don’t include Notre Dame, and I think that’s pretty fun.
WHEN PUSH COMES TO SHOVE
A lot has been made this spring about the “fights” going on inside Notre Dame’s practices between players. These fights — or scuffles as Marcus Freeman like to call them — seem to happen quite a bit, and no one is really concerned about it. Should we be? The answer is “no” of course, but then when you see clips of CJ Carr talking trash — IT’S STILL NO.
It’s very competitive right now, and the more competitive Notre Dame can be in practice, the better off they’ll be throughout the season.
