Claudio entered Arena Mexico to face Ultimo Guerrero on Friday night (Mar. 13, 2026). The champ ambushed the luchador on stage. Due to that underhanded tactic, Claudio controlled the match early. Ultimo Guerrero eventually rallied to make the fight competitive. The Death Rider was up to his old tricks trying to cheat. Claudio pulled the referee in front
to block Ultimo Guerrero, then he delivered a big boot and the giant swing. When trying to finish with the Neutralizer, Ultimo Guerrero countered for a spinning back body drop slam. The challenger executed his inverted superplex finisher, but Claudio was able to grab the ropes on the pin for the break. On the finish, Claudio pulled a fast one. Ultimo Guerrero pushed a waistlock into the corner. The ref was in the way again, and Claudio capitalized for a mule kick. The champ closed with the Neutralizer to keep his gold.
Business picked up after the match. Hechicero stormed into the ring to confront Claudio. The champ ran his mouth about being the best wrestler in CMLL. Hechicero wants his shot at the title. Claudio accepted the challenge. Fisticuffs were flying. Hechicero had the upper hand until Claudio scurried to safety.

Claudio versus Hechicero for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship is expected to take place Friday, March 20 at the Homenaje a Dos Leyendas special event in Arena Mexico. This feels like the end of the line for Claudio’s title reign. This match continues the feud between the Death Riders and the Callis Family in AEW. For CMLL fans, Hechicero is a fan favorite tweener that leans rudo, so there should be a huge reaction if the Alchemist can defeat Claudio for the title.
