Fermin Lopez was a happy man after scoring a hat-trick as Barcelona swept Olympiacos aside 6-1 in the Champions League.
The win sends Barca back to winning ways in the competition after defeat to PSG last
time out, and Lopez admits it’s just what Hansi Flick’s side needed.
“Very happy. We needed a win like that. We finished on a good note, and now we’re looking ahead to the Clásico. My first hat trick, a dream come true, now I can keep working,” he said afterwards.
“Now I’ll take the ball so my teammates can sign it. I’m very grateful to the entire team and for keeping up that momentum. I feel comfortable in that attacking midfield position. I can improve my game. But I’ll be wherever the manager needs me.”
Barcelona now head to the Bernabeu for El Clasico and Lopez is hoping his team can put on a show against Real Madrid.
“We’re coming into the Clásico feeling good. It’s a very important match for everyone. We hope to put on a great performance and take the win,” he added. “I try to demonstrate what I can do on the field so I can get opportunities.”
