Celebrity boxer Jake Paul wants to make his MMA debut against former UFC welterweight Nate Diaz after MVP and PFL complete their merger in early 2027.
Paul already holds a victory over the Diaz inside the boxing ring but a cage fight allows Diaz to implement his jiu-jitsu, which has been good enough to submit the likes of Conor McGregor, Tony Ferguson, and Jim Miller, just to name a few. That said, Diaz is also 41 and looks like a beat-up Mr. Potato Head after 20 years of abuse.
Diaz sounds like he’s
ready to accept the challenge.
Fair warning: yesterday’s price is not today’s price.
This is not the first time Diaz (21-14) has been challenged by Paul but the Stockton slapper never seemed that interested in making the deal. Unfortunately, he may not have many options regarding a return to competition after fumbling the bag with Conor McGregor and UFC back in May — only to lose to Mike Perry for a fraction of the price.
Whether or not Diaz is still “hard to deal with” remains to be seen.
