Sebastian Fundora’s WBC super welterweight title defense against Keith Thurman officially found its landing spot as their card will be set for Oct. 25 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, per ESPN. The card will stream live as a PBC on Prime PPV event, bolstered by a WBC super featherweight title fight with O’Shaquie Foster defending his strap against Stephen Fulton in a fight that will serve as the co-main event.
With the fight date formally set, the 36-year-old Keith Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs) will get a shot
at a major world title once again after dealing with numerous injuries that left him largely inactive over the last several years. He most recently stopped Brock Jarvis in a relative soft-touch fight as he looked to shake off some ring rust. The other challenger in co-main event, Stephen Fulton (23-1, 8 KOs), also aims to secure another major title, moving up after a win over Brandon Figueroa earlier this year. Fulton will, however, be allowed to maintain his WBC title at 126 for the time being.
A couple of other fights have been scheduled for this fall card, with Jesus Ramos (22-1, 18 KOs) taking on Shane Mosley Jr. (22-4, 12 KOs) in an interim WBC middleweight title fight, as well as Tony Harrison (30-4-1, 21 KOs) going against Isaac Lucero (17-0, 13 KOs) in a middleweight fight.
