The LSU Tigers face a really difficult task as they visit #4 Alabama in an SEC showdown. What kind of game are we in for? A classic Tide vs. Tigers or a red team domination? Can LSU sneak the upset with
the interim coach?
From third down efficacy, player props, team defense/offense numbers, team totals and more, we will have a little bit of everything as we roll on this season. What will this week bring?
Last season we ended with a negative record for the first time, but still ended up positive because of some big swings we took odds wise (2022: 19-17, 2023: 19-17, 2024: 16-20) and we hope to do better this time around. We hope to earn a winning week this time. (8-16 in 2025)
Today, we take a look at predicting three specific areas for the team. Remember these are bold(ish) predictions. (All stats via CFBSTATS)
1 Alabama -6.5 First Half Spread (-110, FanDuel)
A theory many like after a coach firing is the “zombie” team taking it to the next opponent and when they have a local coach, even better. Frank Wilson could be that, unfortunately, I just can’t see it coming to fruition. A slow offense, a decent defense, don’t really scream recipe to beating the fourth best team in the land.
Between Kalen DeBoer’s black hoodie, the spectacle at Bryant-Denny and the LSU juice being all the way depleted, I can’t really fathom a strong Tiger performance. I can see a backdoor cover, so we will take the first half spread for Bama.
2 Any Time Touchdown Scorer – Garrett Nussmeier & Ty Simpson (+3048, FanDuel)
What the hell, we are in the red this season and what if I go 2-1 and this hits (or even 1-2)? We are back in green baby! Inspired by a recent hit, the chances of this are low, but what if two sneaks get us the win? Let’s imagine great things.
The handicap ois really just vibes here and that Simpson can scoot a bit and we could get a Nussmeier boot or sneak get us this one. Let’s ride!

My only hit last time out and we might run it back until it fails. The offense has been lethargic and with Kelly gone, it should be a bit better, but the team could shock us. I don’t see it, so we will fade it as the hit rate here has been pretty good.
Final score prediction: LSU 20-31 Alabama
