It sure looks like Stefano Pioli’s doing something very different. My guess is that it’s a 4-4-2 with Tariq Lamptey (in his first Fiorentina start) on the right wing and Jacopo Fazzini on the left, but maybe Dodô‘s going to sit deeper as part of a back 3 and it’s actually a 3-5-2. Regardless, it’s clear that the mister’s scrambling for solutions. Cesc Fabregas hasn’t changed his side’s shape but has brought in some new faces in Ivan Smolčić and Sergi Roberto.
