Barcelona midfielder Gavi is finding starts hard to come by at Camp Nou so far this season which has predictably led to speculation about his future.
Diario Sport have this week claimed Gavi is not happy with the situation and worried by his lack of game time, while a report in Italy claims that Napoli are thinking of trying to land the midfielder.
According to Calciomercato, Napoli are dreaming of Gavi after seeing him slip down the pecking order at Barcelona.
Napoli are thinking of a winter signing
to boost the squad after slipping down to eight place in the table, already 14 points behind leaders Lazio.
A price tag of €40 million is mentioned but signing Gavi won’t be easy, particularly as the midfielder has previously said he would like to spend his entire career at Barca.
Gavi did make an appearance off the bench on Tuesday night in the Champions League win over Aston Villa, but his current situation at the club means we can probably expect more rumors as the season progresses.
