Lead rumor: Sheamus’ status
We know Sheamus is done with WWE after word got around that he rejected a restructured contract for less money. He was moved to the Alumni section of the company website, and changed all his social media information. We just didn’t know when he would be free and clear.
We may known now.
That’s because Fightful Select brings word that his actual contract with WWE won’t expire until October 1, 2026. They do not know, however, what led to his deal expiring later than anyone thought,
though it could be due to injury time being added.
Either way, any idea of his going to AEW or elsewhere in the near future will have to be put on hold.
Other rumors floating around
- According to Fightful Select, Conor McGregor taking a jab at Roman Reigns recently wasn’t looked at unfavorably within TKO but rather the belief is it was done for corporate synergy, if anything. Just McGregor doing it his own way.
- Meanwhile, F4W Online’s Bryan Alvarez said people in WWE were really excited about the end of Saturday Night’s Main Event and the final segment with the NBA stars because it’s going to get them on ESPN and they love that association.
- Jacob Fatu is claiming on social media he is in California and won’t work Monday Night Raw this week in Detroit despite an announced match against LA Knight.
- For what it’s worth, Tony Khan seemed to indicate on In The Weeds that the Jaguars wouldn’t do a license for a custom WWE championship.
- False Finish claims Jasper Troy will be working an upcoming episode of Evolve.
- During the RIOT La Rina 4 event, Chik Tormenta said she is no longer with AAA.
