The first day of Utah Jazz training camp is done, and the social media videos are coming. The interesting thing is that the social media videos might have revealed the starting lineup for the upcoming season.
If you watch the video, you can see Keyonte George, Darryn Peterson, Lauri Markkanen, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Jusuf Nurkic in the purple jerseys. It’s obviously day one, and we don’t know if things will change, but from this
short clip, the Jazz made a point to put that group together.
We then also see Svi Mykhailiuk, Isaiah Collier, Ace Bailey, Kyle Filipowski, Brice Sensabaugh, and Jaxson Hayes in white jerseys. If that starting unit is in purple, then those players all make sense off the bench.
Assuming this is the starting lineup, it’s cool to see Darryn Peterson starting. Peterson is so talented and considering how tough it’s been for rookies to start for Will Hardy in the past, this is a great sign for him going forward. It certainly looks like Peterson is earning the high praise he got at Media Day.
