Barcelona loanee Ansu Fati was back in the starting XI for Monaco on Saturday night and back in the goals.
The forward struck after 33 minutes to give his side the lead in the Ligue 1 clash against Rennes at the Stade Louis II.
Folarin Balogun found Fati inside the penalty area and he fired a low shot past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net. Monaco went onto win the match 4-0.
Fati’s had an up and down time of it at Monaco so far but his
latest goal means he now has seven Ligue 1 goals in 13 appearances for the French side. He also scored in the Champions League against Club Brugge at the start of the campaign and will be hoping for more as the seasons progresses.
Injuries have once again disrupted his campaign but he now has two in his last four matches for Monaco and will be in French Cup action next time out against Strasbourg.
