The Toronto Raptors are completing a trade to acquire seven-time NBA All-Star Kawhi Leonard from the Los Angeles Clippers for two-time All-Star Brandon Ingram, forward Gradey Dick and a plethora of draft capital, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The trade reunites Leonard with the franchise where he won the 2019 NBA Championship and earned Finals MVP honors. Leonard, now 35, is coming off perhaps his best statistical year since missing the 2021-22 season due to an ACL injury. In 65 appearances with the Clippers this past season, Leonard averaged a career-high 27.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while shooting over 50% from the field and 38.7% from beyond the 3-point arc. The production earned Leonard his seventh All-Star appearance, a seventh-place finish in MVP voting, and a spot on the All-NBA Second Team.
In return, the Clippers are netting the 28-year-old Ingram, who is also coming off an All-Star campaign. In 77 appearances with Toronto this past season, the 6-foot-9 forward averaged 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per outing while shooting 38.2% on 3-pointers.
Dick, 22, was the 13th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-7 forward appeared in 76 games for the Raptors this past season but only averaged 14 minutes, 6 points and 1.9 rebounds.
