Improving on his 64th ranking as a rookie, Denver Broncos franchise quarterback Bo Nix moved to 59th. Not quite the jump I expected, but he continues to fly under people’s radar. We Broncomaniacs know what we have in Denver, though. As Pat Surtain II said in the video below, “Bo is a gamer.”
With no run game to speak of much of the time, Nix led the lead in passing attempts piling up nearly 4,000 yards
passing and 30 total touchdowns leading Denver to the AFC’s top seed and a 14-3 record. More impressively, he led the team to a league-high eight game-winning drives, including a thrilling 33-30 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills.
When the game is on the line, there are few quarterbacks I’d rather want under center for the Broncos. He now has 11 game-winning drives in his short two-year career. That is almost half of the teams 25 wins over that span. The Denver Broncos are an AFC powerhouse in large part because Bo Nix is, in fact, a gamer.
