I want to pick the Raiders, I really do. But I was burned by them too many times in October, and the last time they played with a 10:00 a.m. body clock was pretty ugly. Ultimately, I can’t trust a defense that can’t stop a nosebleed right now and a one-dimensional offense. Yes, the Jets are coming off a terrible loss to the Dolphins, but that was a division game, and it isn’t as if the Raiders are coming into this game hot.

This is another reason why I have to stop picking the Raiders: I’m getting crushed in the pick’em competition this year! A 5-9 performance last week is downright pathetic, and I’m getting close to dipping below .500 on pure money line picks, not even spread! I’ve never hit a cold streak quite like this before, as this has been a pretty crazy football season.
Oh, Bill and Ray are doing fine. Bill led the writers by going 8-6 last week, while Ray was closer to me at 6-8, but who cares?
