Bayern Munich 17-year-old Maycon Cardozo made his debut during the squad’s 4-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga.
Needless to say, the youngster was extremely grateful for the chance to take the pitch for the Bavarians.
“First of all, I want to thank God for this moment. It was a great moment in my career. I was very happy and would like to thank the coach, the coaching staff, and my family,” Cardozo told Abendzeitung’s Kilian Kreitmair (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
In addition,
the club’s social media team caught up with Cardozo on the pitch, right after the match. The kid, once again, expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to make his debut:
Cardozo signed his new contract this week, but it is unclear what the long-term plan for him might be. In this generation of young players, competition will be extremely fierce.
Iron sharpens iron as they say…
