The Dallas Mavericks (14-23) stay on the road, this time playing the Utah Jazz (12-24). It’s the first of three match ups between these two teams over the next six Dallas games. The Mavericks are coming
off an ugly win against the Sacramento Kings. Utah is playing the second night of a back-to-back, losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder in overtime.
Heres the main things you need to know before tipoff.
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz
- WHAT: More road basketball!
- WHERE: Delta Center, Salt Lake City, Utah
- WHEN: 8:00 pm CST
- HOW: KFAA Channel 29, MavsTV streaming, NBA League Pass
The Mavericks made it through a whole game without someone new getting hurt. PJ Washington is still listed as doubtful, so don’t expect him to play. Everyone else, minus Kyrie Irving, Dereck Lively, and Dante Exum, should be good to go. The Jazz will be missing Kessler Walker and Georges Niang. Ace Bailey is questionable with a hip issue. Jusif Nurkic is also questionable. I very much hope Bailey plays, he’s fun.

Dallas should win this one running away as well. I said that before the Kings game because Sacramento STINKS. I was right, Dallas should’ve won that won easily, but they managed to just barely win. Anthony Davis was bad from the field and I doubt we see that happen quite to that extent two games in a row. If Dallas gets reasonable effort and production, they should be able to beat the Jazz with ease. But if there’s a way to place a wager on whether Dallas plays their 29th clutch game of the regular season, that doesn’t sound like the worst idea.
Consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start LATE. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
