Andreas Christensen caught the eye during the international break with an impressive goal for Denmark in a World Cup qualifying win over Greece.
The Barcelona star spoke about his strike after the match and admitted he would love to score more goals for club and country.
“It’s getting to me more and more, because I’ve always wanted to be a threat when I put the ball up there. Sometimes the space isn’t there to shoot, but it doesn’t matter to me that much if it’s someone else who finishes,” he told
BT.
“But I would like to finish a little more than I do, but I’m a defender, and I have to think about that first. I don’t spend much time on shooting practice.”
Christensen has come in for plenty of praise in his homeland for his goal and his performances over the international break. Yet he was typically humble when told about the praise, admitting: “It’s nice to get praise, but I hate talking about myself.”
