The Knicks step into a brutal, spotlight-heavy week that runs through a perennial power, a division spoiler, and two Western contenders chasing banners. This week has the plot of a Saw movie, with Adam Silver playing Jigsaw. Let’s review, Ebert!
Sunday, March 1 — Spurs vs Knicks, 1:00 p.m. (ABC)
Coming off a beatdown of the Bucks, the Knicks host the San Antonio Spurs on ABC, in a litmus test against a championship contender riding an 11-game win streak. Also, note the time. Cripes.
Their last meeting was on December 31, 2025, in Texas, where the Knicks
lost 134-132. Prior to that, New York beat the Spurs in the NBA Cup Final, 124-113, behind OG Anunoby’s 28 points. That in-season tournament win over San Antonio gave the Knicks their first official trophy since 1973.
Led by Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio seems the deeper and more explosive team presently. New York has a top-heavy roster that can prove us wrong, however, and if they play with the effort and discipline shown in Milwaukee on Friday, this could be a mighty win in a brutally early matinee.
Tuesday, March 3 — Knicks at Raptors, 7:30 p.m. (MSG)
Next, New York visits the Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. The Knicks are favorites thanks to their superior record, top-three East position, and stronger efficiency on both ends. Toronto is fighting just to stay in the mix.
Their last matchup was January 28, 2026, in Canada, where the Knicks handled Toronto comfortably. Since then, Toronto has lost its spunky sheen. They’re still scrappy but flawed, making this a game the Knicks should control unless fatigue or focus slip over the border. You couldn’t blame them for being distracted by the next game on the slate….
Wednesday, March 4 — Thunder vs Knicks, 7 p.m. (ESPN/MSG)
Seriously, this is the week from Hell. The Knicks return home to host the Thunder, in the second game of a back-to-back. Maybe the league wanted this to be a Finals preview, but it’s hard to imagine the Knicks being in top form after traveling internationally and playing a game the night before. Smooth move, Silver.
This will be the first meeting between the teams this season. They last battled on January 10, 2025, in a game New York lost by 25. The Thunder are even deeper with talent this time around, so this game stands to be either thrilling, or very, very painful.
Friday, March 6 — Knicks at Nuggets, 9 p.m. (MSG)
Come on already! Clearly, the league hates the Knicks. After the Spurs and a poorly scheduled Thunder game, they close the week in Denver, facing the Nuggets at Ball Arena.
Denver’s offense still hums even as its defense has some slippage. They are favored because of home court, altitude, and the walking nightmare that is Nikola Jokić. Their last matchup was February 4, 2026, at Madison Square Garden, which New York won 134-127.
Go Knicks.
