Bayern Munich has never been shy about looking beyond the Bundesliga for talent, and both the United States and Belgium have produced some intriguing players who could fit Vincent Kompany’s squad. So, here is today’s debate: If you could sign one USMNT player and one Belgian international, who gets your vote?
There are plenty of interesting options.
For the United States, Christian Pulisic would immediately bring Champions League experience, creativity, and versatility. He has shown with AC Milan that
he can consistently produce goals and assists while playing on either wing or through the middle. The biggest question would be whether there would be enough minutes with Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala, and others already competing for attacking roles.
Another fascinating choice is Malik Tillman. The former Bayern Munich academy product has blossomed into one of the most technically gifted American midfielders. His size, composure on the ball, and ability to play as an attacking midfielder or deeper playmaker could make him an ideal long-term addition if Bayern Munich ever decided to bring him back.
Another intriguing USMNT option is Antonee Robinson. Bayern Munich has been linked with left backs in recent transfer windows, and Robinson has developed into one of the Premier League’s most reliable players at the position. His blistering pace, defensive work rate, and ability to get forward would make him an interesting fit, especially if Bayern Munich continues to manage Alphonso Davies’ workload or wants additional competition on the left side. Robinson has proven he can handle elite opposition week after week.
Of course, Weston McKennie has long been connected with Bayern Munich in transfer rumors. The midfielder brings versatility, physicality, and a winning mentality that would fit well in the Bundesliga. McKennie is capable of playing as a box-to-box midfielder, or defensive midfielder. His aerial ability and relentless energy would give Vincent Kompany another dependable option in midfield, although Bayern Munich already has considerable depth in that area.
Belgium also offers several intriguing possibilities. Charles De Ketelaere has revived his career with his creativity, intelligence, and versatility across the front line. At just 25-years-old, he still has room to grow and could become an excellent rotational option behind Harry Kane or play as an attacking midfielder.
Leandro Trossard would provide immediate quality and experience on the wing. His ability to score from multiple positions and impact matches off the bench would fit well on a squad competing on multiple fronts.
Then there is Nicolas Raskin, who has quietly developed into an energetic, ball-winning midfielder. While he may not carry the star power of the others, Bayern Munich could always use another dynamic presence in the middle of the park.
So, what do you think? Would you prioritize proven stars like Pulisic and Trossard, younger talents like Tillman and De Ketelaere, or perhaps give Raskin a chance to develop into Bayern Munich’s next midfield engine? Let us know your dream duo in the comments.
