The Browns need to regroup after last week’s disastrous game, and the attention this week has shifted to the quarterback position. Week-to-week, fan confidence decreased by 28 percentage points down to 60%. It’s a steep drop, but one that was warranted. I tried to build up my confidence that this would be the year that Cleveland would conquer the long losing streak in Pittsburgh, and instead, they matched their worst performance of the season. Then, that loss leads to thoughts on whether the Browns are
only 5-3 due to their easy schedule. By comparison, 35% of Saints fans are confident in the direction of their team.

Besides the confidence meter, the main question we asked this week was focused on whether Browns fans thought Cleveland would win this week’s game against the Saints. Overall, 60% of fans think Cleveland will win, while 40% picked the Saints. Of the fans who picked Cleveland to win, most believe it’ll be a close game. One fan thinks it actually will be a big win in New Orleans, with one of the problem areas getting it together:
It will be interesting to see how our young group responds. I’m thinking that at least one of our “troublesome trucks” puts it in high gear. Maybe verse gets a couple sacks, the o-line creates serious holes for our run game or Sanders connects with KC and JJ repeatedly for big scores. Either way I have a feeling we win big this week.
Another fan sees more trouble on the horizon, though:
Expect more of what we saw last week. Penalties, confusion, Sanders running for his life, no run game on offense, inability to stop the run on defense. Special teams will contribute positively.
The other poll we’re looking at this week is one that was for Ravens fans. With the team’s struggling quarterback situation, it was still surprising to see so many fans immediately jump on the, “sell everyone but core” bandwagon.
According to FanDuel, the Browns are 3 point underdogs against the Saints this week, with the over/under being 42.5.
