What is the story about?

The Cleveland Browns have had several notable wide receivers in franchise history.

Dante Lavelli and Mac Speedie in the 1940s and 1950s. Gary Collins and Paul Warfield in the 1960s. Reggie Rucker and Dave Logan in the 1970s. Webster Slaughter, Brian Brennan, and Reggie Langhorne in the 1980s.

But very few had a day during their rookie seasons like the one KC Concepcion had on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Concepcion lit up the Titans for 129 receiving yards, a total that puts him at No. 8 on the franchise’s

all-time list for receiving yards by a rookie wide receiver in a single game. Derrick Alexander holds the franchise record of 171 yards, set in 1994 in a game against the New York Giants.

Concepcion looked to be on track to top Alexander, but just missed a deep pass in the third quarter and was shut out in the entire second half. He still contributed, however, as a key run in the fourth quarter set up a Deshaun Watson touchdown.

Unlike Concepcion, Alexander’s record day came in a Week 13 loss as the Browns committed five turnovers and committed 11 penalties. Alexander finished with seven receptions, including a 60-yarder with about five minutes remaining that set up a game-tying touchdown.

That was actually one of two big days that season for Alexander, as he had a 136-yard game against the Arizona Cardinals in a Week 3 victory.

The new Top 10 for most receiving yards by a Browns rookie, according to statemuse.com, is now:
