The final quarter-bracket of the Sweet Sixteen round of the Blazer’s Edge Best Things Ever Tournament has arrived. For those who aren’t keeping up, we started a couple weeks ago with 64 good things in life, arranged in a March Madness-esque bracket. Each day we give you two posts with a choice between two things. You pick one to advance. In this quarter-bracket we’ve already lost Doughnuts, Cell Phones, The Beatles, Kittens, Chocolate, and Lord of the Rings, among other things. Now we’re going to lose
one more heavyweight contender.
In this post you get to choose between Cows and Kissing.
Cows are the source of many good things: steak, burgers, ribs, milk, butter, cheese, leather, and a chance to say, “Mooooo!” a half-dozen times on cross-country car trips. Chances are you like at least some of those things, maybe even passionately.
But few things in life are more passionate that a kiss. As a simple greeting, a stand-alone make-out session, or a prelude to…well…nevermind…kissing is one of the more exciting and enjoyable human experiences. It’s so universal that you could credibly do it to 13 other entries in this tournament and probably come away with a smile on your face. (Give or take Billy Joel. His facial hair seems scratchy.)
