Dillon Danis and Eddie Hall are teasing a fight between them after the strongman and the former grappling champion took to social media to announce their future plans.
While no date, location or promotion
was named, Hall posted that he’s expected to face Danis in the near future after the fighters previously discussed their interest in potentially facing off one day. Hall, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs well over 300 pounds, crossed over to MMA when he defeated Mariusz Pudzianowski in KSW back in April and apparently now he’s ready for another test with Danis as an opponent.
Additional sources told MMA Fighting on Wednesday that a fight between Hall and Danis is a real possibility, and while nothing is official yet, the matchup is definitely in the works.
“The World’s Strongest Man against the most talked about name in MMA,” Hall wrote on Instagram. “The clash the world never believed would happen. The biggest fight in history set to smash every record ever made.
“Dillon Danis you’re a dirtbag fraud who hides behind hype and when I ragdoll you in front of millions the whole world will see you were never real.”
For his part, Danis acknowledged the post and responded to the 2017 World’s Strongest Man with his own plans to win the fight.
“In a world first, I’m stepping in at 170 pounds against the World’s Strongest Man weighing 465 [pounds],” Danis wrote. “That’s balls of steel. Tell me who wouldn’t pay to watch that. I’m literally gonna suplex him over the ropes. I can’t wait.”

Following a long absence from MMA while he was pursuing boxing matches, Danis finally returned to action at Misfits 22 in August where he scored a 15-second submission win over Warren Spencer to claim the first ever MMA title for the influencer boxing promotion.
Since then, Danis has teased several potential fights including a matchup against ex-UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson after they were once scheduled to meet in the now defunct Global Fight League.
While nothing has been officially announced by any promotion, it appears Danis is ready to take on a very interesting challenge with his next fight against Hall.
