The spotlight is growing brighter for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown.
Following a second successful season manning the left-back position for Die Adler, Brown has become a fully-fledged Germany international and was included in Julian Nagelsmann’s squad for this summer’s Men’s World Cup. Naturally, his fast rise has caught the eye of Germany’s biggest club, Bayern Munich.
Brown, who is under contract until 2030 at Frankfurt, responded to rumors of Bayern transfer interest in comments captured
by German outlet Abendzeitung.
“Of course I read that, but right now I want to focus on the World Cup,” Brown said (via @iMiaSanMia). “We’ll see what happens after that. But right now my full focus is on the World Cup. I feel great in Frankfurt. I have friends there, I’m really settled in, and am enjoying it.”
Brown has seemingly jumped VfB Stuttgart left-back Maximilian Mittelstädt in the Germany reckoning, but is still behind RB Leipzig’s David Raum at the position. The soon-to-be 23-year-old has versatility, though, and without a nominal backup for Joshua Kimmich on the right, could be in line for some decent playing time this summer.
