The Los Angeles Chargers are preparing for their Week 2 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
While most of the players are getting ready, a few members of the team will be on the inactive list.
Cornerback Elijah Molden (hamstring), defensive back Deane Leonard (abdomen), cornerback Isas Waxter, offensive lineman Logan Taylor, offensive lineman Alex Harkey and offensive lineman Trey Pipkins III (knee) are the inactives for the Chargers.
The good news for the Chargers is that they
will have wide receiver Lad McConkey available when they play the Raiders. McConkey suffered a rib injury during the team’s Week 1 loss against the Arizona Cardinals and was limited in practice throughout the week. He appears ready to go, and he could be the leading wide receiver on offense today.
Alongside McConkey, the Chargers will have Quentin Johnston and Tre Harris, among others, leading the way.
Meanwhile, the inactives for the Raiders are defensive tackle JJ Pegues, quarterback Aidan O’Connell (personal reasons), cornerback Darien Porter (foot), safety Tristan McCollum, safety Dalton Johnston, offensive lineman Bryce Cabeldue and tight end Brock Bowers (knee).
Bowers, a first-round pick by the Raiders in the 2024 NFL draft, is out for the second straight week after undergoing knee surgery. Bowers being out limits the Raiders offense, which should be advantageous for the Chargers.
Kickoff between the Raiders and Chargers is set for 1:05 p.m. PT inside SoFi Stadium. Fans can watch the game on CBS or stream it on the Paramount Plus app.
